Live capture of a segment from Beat Shazaam which was airing while I was testing some of my analog gear.
Trying out my new analog gizmo–the LZX Vidiot. This is a short test of the device’s live camera input in which I filmed the cone-shaped party hat that came with it against a tube TV playing a VHS tape of a previous jam session produced with Lumen.
My latest video piece “Across From Where” featured at about 5:00min into episode 21-1 of “Here Comes Everybody”.

Semi-obscured figures sail across an expansive void to an unknown destination in search of something better than nothing. Produced using Lumen, Signal Culture’s Sssscan program and a custom mixing setup in VDMX. Music: “Flow” by Production Unit Xero from the album “Man and His Symbols” on ENDE records – https://goo.gl/6YuvvV
An improvised video remix piece performed live during an electronic music show at Photo City Improv on August 6, 2017 in Rochester, NY. The title derives from the barely recognizable opening sample of the film Brazil (dir. Terry Gilliam) and the melted wax effect generated by the Signal Culture SSSScan app used to produce the piece in conjunction with VDMX, Lumen and Arkaos GrandVJ. Music: zbxgd (cut-up) by Ethnomite Pux / Production Unit Xero
